Client Background & Needs

Maison Lumière is a third-generation Parisian bridal atelier specializing in couture wedding accessories, with 80+ boutique clients across France, Italy, Switzerland and the Middle East. For their Spring 2026 bridal collection, the house needed 50 hand-matched pairs of baroque freshwater pearls (12–15 mm, AAA-grade, "Champagne Rosé" undertone) for earrings, pendants and hairpieces — plus hand-knotted assembly with 18K gold-plated findings and custom branded packaging. Their previous Japanese supplier had failed to match the rose-gold undertone on 40% of the pairs, jeopardizing the runway launch.

Solution & Design

We drew on our 200-mu Anhui freshwater farm to hand-select 2,400 candidate pearls from the late-autumn harvest — the season known for the warmest rose undertones — and shipped them to our Zhuji facility within 48 hours. A custom 5-step overtone grading protocol was developed: spectrophotometer reading + visual pair-building, photographed on grey-card with color-checker reference and uploaded for client approval before drilling. Approved pearls were precision-drilled (0.9 mm), then hand-knotted by senior artisans using French silk thread and EU REACH compliant findings.

Outcomes & Impact

All 50 pairs plus 30 accent pearls were delivered on Day 84 — within the 12-week window — with 0% rejection rate. The collection debuted at Paris Fashion Week March 2026, featured in 8 bridal editorial features (Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Brides), achieved a 94% sell-through within 60 days (vs. 71% baseline) and generated €48,000 in initial orders with a confirmed €120,000 re-order pipeline. Maison Lumière added Hmofalate as their preferred pearl partner, replacing the previous Japanese supplier.
